NEWS - Award-Winning New Genelec Monitors to be Shown at BVE 2017
London, 28th February 2017 - Award-winning monitoring brand Genelec will be offering comprehensive systems demonstrations of its pioneering 8430A Audio-over-IP (AoIP) monitor on HHB Communications stand K45 at BVE 2017. Making a BVE debut will be Genelecís comprehensive selection of room-adapting Smart Active Monitors, including the 8340 and 8350 models.
The broadcast and install industry has seen a rapid adoption of AoIP systems, with the Genelec 8430A leading as a versatile and powerful tool for conveniently delivering accurate networked audio. Following many years of intense research and development, it was the first studio monitor that conforms to Ravenna and inter-operable AES67 standards. It also supports Genelecís market-leading GLM room calibration system, adapting the response of the monitor to its environment for unparalleled accuracy.
The power and flexibility of these new technologies will be practically demonstrated on leading AoIP-solutions provider HHB Communicationsí stand K45. Additionally showcased will be seamless integration of Genelec 8430 with Avid Pro Tools via AoIP audio interface products including DAD AX32, DX32R, NTP Penta 720 and the brand new Avid MTRX, which makes its UK debut.
By allowing building-wide audio reproduction via convenient CAT5 cable systems and network adapters, AoIP technologies offer unparalleled flexibility. It also offers future-proofing for small-scale to building-wide installations in pro audio, broadcast, live sound industries and more.
The flexibility of the 8430ís AoIP support, robust construction, uncoloured, accurate response, via industry leading GLM monitor calibration system make it a market-leader. This culminated in Genelec receiving the TEC Award for best new Studio Monitor at the 2017 NAMM Show.
The 8430 will be shown on UK-Genelec Distributor Source Distributionís stand, J44, alongside a range of Genelecís next-generation of Smart Active Monitors, including the latest 8340 and 8350 models.
Compatible with the new generation of Genelec GLM 2.0 speaker calibration system, the expanded 8300 range represents the most comprehensive and accurate room-correction system Genelec has produced to date. The 8340 recently won Future Music Magazineís Best Monitor of the Year Award.
ďConstantly innovating, Genelecís pioneering solutions are a must-see at BVE 2017 and weíre excited to be debuting products and workflows on the HHB Communications and Source Distribution stands,Ē said Alex Theakston, Marketing Manager, Source Distribution.
