Introducing the Arturia Astrolab
Published: 9th April 2024
AstroLab is a 61-key stage keyboard unlike any other synth on the market, it packs in over 30 iconic instruments derived from V-Collection (and more!) with 1,300 onboard presets and access to up to 10,000 sounds.
Just imagine playing a polyphonic MiniMoog layered with Pigments, through lush stereo FX then effortlessly switching to a Jupiter-8 split with a CS-80, then to a stunning American grand acoustic Piano….with Astrolab, the impossible just became possible.
It’s a dream keyboard studio in one high-quality instrument.
Unlike other performance synthesizers on the market, the sound engines in Astrolab are NOT sample based, they instead utilize Arturia’s world-class TAE and PHI modelling, meaning you’re not just manipulating a static sample, you’re instead interacting with the actual synthesis engines in real-time…piano’s sound more realistic with versatile sound design capabilities and synths have incredible flexibility, fidelity and sound quality.
All of this is powered by a brand new system architecture, which provides effortless synchronization with Analog Lab Pro, meaning you can go beyond the sounds that you’ve meticulously designed in the studio / writing process and take them onto the stage using the desktop app or the forthcoming Astrolab Connect app (iOS & Android).
The whole process is seamless.
