Source Distribution at GearExpo 26

The stands were built, the gear was in place, and we were ready for GearExpo 26! The Source Distribution team joined Sound Technology and HHB Communications in London, bringing together an impressive selection of audio brands and the latest gear for visitors to explore.

Across the West Gallery, there was plenty to get hands-on with, covering everything from synths and keyboards to studio equipment, guitar pedals, and content creation tools.

Eventide Audio showcased the UK debut of the new H9 Gen 2, alongside live demonstrations of the H90 Harmonizer, the compact dot9 pedal range, and an H9000 running in a Logic-based studio setup.

Lynx Studio Technology presented audio demonstrations of the latest Mesa desktop interface, while Mogami had a dedicated area showcasing its pre-made Cable for Life range for live and studio applications.

Guitarists also had the opportunity to try VegaTrem’s no-drill tremolo retrofit systems for Strat-style and Tele-style guitars, with Mark from VegaTrem on hand to answer questions and offer advice.

Meanwhile, Rodec had its own dedicated setup in Room CR7 on the Lower Ground. Tom from RODEC demonstrated the Rodec One desktop analogue workstation, with the new Sidestepper step-sequencer gater patched into the Sherman filter circuitry inside the Ministyler module.

There was plenty for music creators to explore, too. RØDE showcased RØDECaster Video in a creator setup designed around musicians and music content, featuring multiple cameras capturing a live jam area, with instrument audio feeding into the video production workflow. It was a practical demonstration of how an integrated setup could work for bands, multi-instrumentalists, and music creators.

Mackie was also in action across two areas, with a battery-powered PA and mixer from the Mackie GO ecosystem providing the backdrop to the RØDE filming area. A separate Mackie table gave visitors the chance to explore and try more of the brand’s production and music creation tools.

The West Gallery also featured an impressive selection of synths and keys from the Source Distribution line-up, including several exciting new products and UK show debuts.

Expressive E presented the Osmose CE, the MPE MIDI controller version of the Osmose, while Buchla showcased Ziggy, its brand-new compact desktop synthesiser. Visitors could also get hands-on with the new 1010music Blackbox 2.

We were also pleased to welcome Kurzweil as the latest addition to the Source Distribution line-up, with the SP8 stage piano available to try. Alongside these, the ASM Leviasynth, Diosynth digital wind synthesiser, and the latest Dreadboxrange, including the updated Artemis, were all ready for visitors to explore.

With products spanning synthes synthesis, studio recording, live sound, guitar processing, and content creation, there was something for musicians and audio professionals across the show.

A big thank you to all the brand representatives and team members who helped bring everything together and get the stands ready for GearExpo 26.

It was fantastic to bring so many brands together under one roof and give visitors the opportunity to experience the latest products first-hand.

RODEC in the Lower Ground, with everything else in the West Gallery.
